  1. I started swimming daily on January 1st this year as part of my weight loss plan. I have gone from 90 minutes daily to 3 hours most days. (I am 64 years old and retired, so I have time for this) So far, I have lost 37 pounds in 3 months, and I am down several clothing sizes. I feel great, and it certainly has made walking easier, since the strain on my joints is lessened. AND IT IS FUN!! It is indeed a life skill that I wish I had made better use of sooner!
